HISTORY
The Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage of Charleston was founded in 1997.  Upon licensure by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education, the school was established to provide a clinically based curriculum in the Professional Clinical Massage Therapy training program.  The School was founded by Kyle C. Wright, LMT, Paul H. Thompson, and Dr. Richard L. Miller who had a vision to fulfill the need, in healthcare, for highly skilled, clinically trained Massage Therapists.

In February of 2007, the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage was acquired by Dr. Arthur and Belinda Keiser, who have long-term involvement in developing and managing private colleges and schools.  In November of that same year, the School, made application with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission for a branch campus of its Main North Charleston, South Carolina campus to be located in Nashville, Tennessee. In June of 2008, the Nashville Branch Campus began operation.

OWNERSHIP
Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Massage is wholly owned by BAR Education, Inc., 1900 West Commercial Blvd., Suite 180, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33309.  Dr. Arthur Keiser and Belinda Keiser are the primary shareholders.

FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT                                     
The school encompasses approximately 11,941 square feet; which includes classrooms, a media center, bookstore, and offices.  Classrooms are clean, quiet and air-conditioned.  Classrooms are designed for lectures, hands-on instruction, and clinical internship.  Instructional materials including audio-visual equipment, cushions and chairs, portable treatment tables, skeletons, and anatomical charts used to enhance learning are also available.  There is ample free parking. All equipment used at the school is compatible with industry standards and effectively meets the objectives of the program.

(1) A postsecondary institution authorized to operate in this state under § 49-7-2008 shall provide an addendum to any enrollment contract or agreement entered into on or after notification is received by the institution of any final decision by the Commission that its authorization or reauthorization is on a conditional basis, provided that the final decision includes a determination by the Commission that public disclosure of the limitation or restriction is necessary to protect the public interest. A decision of the Commission shall not be a final decision until it is final under the Tennessee Uniform Administrative Procedures Act. Such addendum shall notify the student of such conditional authorization. Such addendum shall be entitled: "Notice of Conditional Authorization" and shall be signed and dated by the student.

(2) If the institution has been notified of a final decision to place it on conditional authorization to operate as provided in subsection (1) hereof, the statement shall explicitly set forth the standards that the institution failed to meet and the conditions under which the executive director or the Commission placed the institution on conditional authorization. The Commission shall specify in the final decision the matters required to be disclosed in the statement. The statement shall also state that continued failure to meet the conditions may result in the school's loss of authorization to operate in Tennessee. All information concerning conditional or probationary authorization shall be in bold face type.
